About Us

The CommUNITY Coalition will mobilize the communities of the Five Towns, Rockaways, Valley Stream, and the surrounding areas to develop sincere cross-cultural relationships ensuring mutual understanding and cultural sensitivity by creating multi-dimensional intentional engagement throughout leadership and grassroots involvement. The Coalition will proactively endeavor to break down present stereotypes, biases and barriers that enable local religious bigotry, racism, and discrimination to exist, and to combat all forms of hate together through education, inter-communal programming and constructive dialogue.
